Career Overview
Interior Designers plan how the inside of homes, hotels, offices and shops look and function — choosing layouts, materials, lighting, colours and furniture. Sri Lanka's construction boom, luxury housing market and thriving hotel sector have made this one of the highest-demand creative careers.
Experienced designers regularly move to the Middle East and Australia, where salaries multiply by 3–5×.
